Visitor Centre Educational Days

Not part of a large organisation or group but would still like to enjoy a tour of the Visitor Centre? Great news - you can do so by joining one of our general public Visitor Centre Educational Days!

Dates: April-September (see below)
Price: Adult £11.00. Concession: £8.00

Concession tickets apply to: Children (10-17yrs), Over 65's, Students (with ID) and Tiggywinkles Members.

Please note: These prices include admission and these tours are not suitable for children under 10 years.

Each tour will have a maximum of 30 people. A complimentary hot drink will be offered during the break and you are welcome to bring a picnic or purchase sandwiches and snacks from our cafe for lunch during your free time.

10.00 Arrival and book in
10.15 Welcome talk in the cafe area
10.30 Resident Talk. Depending on the weather and who is feeling most sociable, this could be a raven, jay, badger or polecat talk
11.00 Hedgehog Talk
11.30 Break with complimentary hot drink
12.00 Tiggywinkles 'behind the scenes' slideshow
12.45 Free time to visit the rest of the centre. One of our tour guides will regularly check in with you to answer any questions and talk to you about our residents
4.00 Visitor centre closes

This is a brand new option.

Please Note: If we receive less than 10 bookings for a tour the tour will be cancelled, you will be informed, and a full refund will be issued.

Please bring along your confirmation email on the day.

Monday 1st October – Easter open 5 days a week (Monday – Friday) 10:00am – 4:00pm

Easter Weekend (20th April) – 29th September open 7 days a week 10:00am – 4:00pm

Facilities

We consider our Visitor Centre accessible to all, with full wheelchair access to all areas. We have a mobility scooter and a wheelchair available for customers to use on-site - this can be reserved in advance to avoid disappointment, please call us on 01844 292292 to arrange.

Our shop serves snacks and hot & cold drinks all year round, with sandwiches and salads available from Easter to October. There is a covered outdoor seating area, a large picnic site and a toddler play area. There is Free parking and limited free coach parking (booking advised).

No professional, semi-professional or flash photography is permitted in the Visitor Centre - with nothing to be published.
