Trichomoniasis is a parasitic organism that affects the upper digestive tract of Red Kites, preventing the bird from feeding, as well as causing massive infections, which will ultimately cause the bird to starve to death.

Trichomoniasis is relatively simple to treat, with a course of tablets, and once free from infection we will then need to improve the bird’s poor body condition plus treat any underlying infection, to help the bird back to full health before it is released into the wild.
