Lungworm Treatment

Of the 3,000 hedgehogs we treat at Tiggywinkles every year, the vast majority will be suffering from lungworm, which is prevalent in the autumn and winter months.

Symptoms are not always obvious, but coughing may be an indicator, but a quick faecal sample will verify the lungworm infestation and treatment takes around four weeks. Left un-medicated it will kill.

This is to sponsor a course of lungworm treatment for a hedgehog here in our hospital. Please be aware you will not be sent medication to treat lungworm!
