Tiggywinkles Visitor Centre -Covid-19 opening

Starting Friday 3rd July we will be offering a slightly reduced and altered visit of our centre to ensure we follow all of the government safety guidelines. All entrances will be ticketed (please purchase online prior to arrival, sadly no telephone orders can be taken at this time) and we will be monitoring the flow of the public constantly.

There are areas that are not allowed to be open at this time - the badger viewing, baby bird and mammal viewing, the museum, education room, play area and café will all remain closed until we are instructed that they are safe to open. However we will be pleased to share with you our outside trail, permanent hedgehogs, our bone exhibit and the other British species who are living in our centre including red kites, ravens, foxes and waterfowl to name a few.

We’ve missed the public and our regular members and are very exciting to see be able to you all again soon! We’ll be opening on Fridays and Saturdays to begin with and we look forward to welcoming you socially-distanced, through a mask, face shield, perspex screen and a healthy layer of antibacterial skin gel. Now doesn’t that sound welcoming!

See you soon!

Admission Tickets

Admission prices - including Gift Aid or a 10% donation

Did you know you can make every £1 you spend on your ticket worth £1.25 to our lifesaving work with Gift Aid?

Tiggywinkles is a charity and so all money made through our Visitor Centre goes towards saving the lives of the sick, injured and orphaned wild animals in our care. If you are a UK taxpayer and you make a 10% donation we claim an extra 25p for every £1 you spend at no extra cost to you. As our charity receives no government or lotto funding, the ability to claim Gift Aid makes a significant difference.

Not a UK tax payer? You can still help - by donating 10% of your ticket price to our charity work. The prices below apply to you too. Thank you.

Admission prices - No Gift Aid and no 10% donation

If you do not want to donate 10% of your ticket price to help our ongoing conservation work then please do let us know on arrival and we will be happy to arrange a cash refund before you leave. Our online booking facility is unable to book without this donation, sadly.

Carers with the relevant paperwork will not be charged an admission fee.
Any of the following can be shown at the counter:

  1. Disability Living Allowance or Attendance Allowance Award letter (dated within the last 12 months)
  2. Personal Independence Payment letter (dated within the last 12 months)
  3. A current, valid Blue Badge
  4. Letter from GP or consultant (dated within 12 months) confirming the need for a full-time carer. This does not need to be a letter of diagnosis.

Unfortunately, we will not be able to issue tickets without seeing (one of) the above documentation.

Each disabled guest will be able to receive one free carer ticket when providing one of the above forms of documentation.
