Harrison the Badger
Scientific Name: Meles meles
Weight: a tiny 2.1kg
Features: Small in size
Harrison, or Harry for short, arrived in September 2015 after he was spotted out in the day in a garden. The homeowners were quite rightly concerned that he was not well.
As well as being very small for an adult badger Harry was also emaciated and full of parasites. The poor boy had to have lots of intensive round-the-clock care to keep him going, but we eventually got him fit enough to move into our Visitor Centre. Our existing badger group would not accept Harry and would bully him for his size so he now lives with our foxes - who have accepted him with no problems!
