Veterinary Surgeon
We are delighted to be seeking a suitably qualified
vet to join our world leading and high profile
team at Tiggywinkles, in Haddenham, Bucks.
This
is an exciting new opportunity created to enhance
and continue to develop the success of the Hospital.
The
position will be offered on a 12 month basis
and will afford the successful candidate the
opportunity to learn about the treatment and
care of all types of British wildlife. This will
be under the guidance of our veterinary consultants
from the International Zoo Veterinary Group and
Les Stocker MBE, HonAssocRCVS, who set up Tiggywinkles
and has been instrumental in its successful evolution
ever since.
As the resident vet you would be required
to undertake the full range of veterinary duties,
be responsible for the day to day operation of
the hospital and provide the nursing team with
the leadership and direction they need to maintain
the high standards of care we provide our patients.
You
would be based at the hospital in Haddenham,
but may be required to undertake some travel
on behalf of the Hospital, for which a vehicle
would be provided or travel expenses reimbursed.
In
order to meet our selection criteria you will
need to be a qualified veterinary surgeon registered
with the RCVS, ideally with a few years’ practical
experience, and will be able to demonstrate a real
passion for British wildlife.
The remuneration package
for this role involves the provision of free accommodation,
including all utility bills.

Animal Care Training Course
Tiggywinkles is proud to be an approved training
centre for the City & Guilds Diploma in
Work-Based Animal Care qualifications. We are
looking for committed students to work towards
their Diploma whilst working hands on with
wildlife at the World’s leading wildlife
Hospital. We offer both full and part time
courses, but you will need to live locally
as it is not residential. We have start dates
