Hedgehogs,
Hedgehogs, ...... HELP!
Tiggywinkles is
seeing a huge intake of hedgehogs for overwintering
this year. We currently have over 500 hedgehogs
in the Hospital, with more flowing in daily.
Hedgehogs that are too small to hibernate
need to be remain inside and kept awake all
winter as they do not have the body fats
to sustain them through the colder months.
Many of our hedgehogs will also require a
course of lungworm treatment, which if left
untreated would kill many hedgehogs over
the winter.
It costs £111.50 to overwinter
just one little hedgehog, so the coming season
will place a huge burden on our limited funds.
Please can you help?
