About Les
Les Stocker is well known as the founder and builder of the world
famous Tiggywinkles Wildlife Hospital. For all of its thirty years
Les has produced and supplied the photographs for all its publications
and promotions.
Having mastered photographic techniques in the early 1970's under
the auspices of an experienced tutor and Fellow of the Royal Photographic
Society, Les worked initially in black and white specialising in
macrophotography of the small invertebrates that were such a part
of the countryside he loved.
As Tiggywinkles grew so did Les's experience resulting in best selling
books on the subject of the Hospital and many international magazine
articles, all illustrated with his superb photographs now evolving
into full colour.
Les remains dedicated to caring for the sick and injured wildlife
at the hospital and his hectic days leave little time to respond
to the many requests for copies of his unique photographs.
The ideal solution was for Les and the Tiggywinkles shop to provide
this website, where images, signed by Les and hand-mounted can

All Les Stocker’s images are individually printed using
the latest digital technology onto archival quality paper, using
long lasting pigments. This process is known as Gicleé and
ensures the prints remain excellent quality far longer than using
normal printing processes.Each mount is hand cut and made from
acid resistant card.
